A southwestern Illinois home seized by the U.S. government after it was linked to two heroin overdose deaths will be given to the city of Fairview Heights and possibly torn down to make way for a park, according to the U.S. attorney’s office in southern Illinois. The property’s owner, Deborah Perkins, agreed to forfeit the house after admitting her role with son Douglas Oliver in a heroin-trafficking scheme.  66-year old Perkins last December was sentenced to 27 years in federal prison.  47-year old Oliver got a 30-year term.  Authorities said the mother and son bought heroin in Chicago and peddled it from the home.  Oliver admitted supplying heroin to 30-year old Jessica Williams and 20-year old Jennifer Herling before their overdose deaths in 2012.  Williams’ body later was found on a trash pile in Washington Park.
