The West Washington County District Unit #10 School Board of Education met last Thursday night and they were presented with the 2013-2014 School Report Card for the Grade School. It showed that there were 307 students with an average class size of 21 students. The school had an attendance rate of 97 percent. The percentage of students at the school that met or exceeded the standards of the ISAT was 66 percent, higher than the State rate of 59 percent. The school’s percentage did drop 5 percent in the previous year. 39 percent of the students attending are from low income families, while 7 percent are homeless and 15 percent have disabilities. It costs $5,042 per student to teach them and $10,688 per student to operate the school, both below the State cost. The school was above the state levels in areas it needed to be and below in areas it needed to be for a good report card.
