The Saint Louis Blues beat the Colorado Avalanche 3 to 2 in overtime Saturday night.

The University of Illinois boys’ basketball team lost 77 to 70 to Oregon on Saturday night.  Meanwhile, Salukis of SIUC beat Chicago State 65 to 50 yesterday.

The Nashville Hornets beat Anna- Jonesboro 52 to 42 on Friday night and beat Waterloo Gibault 52 to 29 on Saturday night in the home opener.

In girls’ high school basketball action on Saturday, the Nashville Hornettes lost to Benton, 34 to 29.
