The number of animals that need homes that are at the Washington County Animal Shelter has decreased significantly in the past week.  There are now 12 dogs, as 3 found a home, and 2 new dogs were brought in, including a Shih Tzu and a Pit Bull, both 2 years old.  There are no cats or kittens at the shelter, so it is down from 17 to 12 animals needing homes before the holiday season.  Don’t forget, an animal can be a good Christmas gift.  Dog adoption fee is $30, which includes an A.V.I.D. Identification Chip.  In addition, new owners will receive a certificate for $50 off spaying or neutering.  Pictures are available online at www.petfinder.com and type in 62263 at the first space in the upper left.  To help with expenses, the shelter accepts aluminum cans for recycling.  It is located at 17,990 Richview Road in Nashville.  For more information, call 327-4800, extension 355.Junior
