Effective in January, the City of Nashville will be suspending curb side collection of leaf bags. The last scheduled day for pickup will be Monday, January 12th, 2015. Leaves must be in compostable paper bags and should be set out by 7:00 a.m. If you would like to take leaves to the compost site, please contact the Department of Public Works at 327-8918. An attempt will be made to arrange access to the compost site, at a time convenient to the City. Regular twice-weekly collection will resume in the fall. Also, the last day for Christmas trees pickup is on Monday, January 12th, 2015 in addition to curb-side pickup for leaf bags. Please remember that all items must be set out before 7 AM and stacked near the curb unless other arrangements are made in advance. Leaves must be in compostable paper bags and Christmas trees should have all tinsel, ribbons, etc. removed.
