The Washington County Board met Tuesday night and went through several reports that they approved. The Ambulance and Rescue Service responded to 193 calls in December, which is down from 205 calls in November. Since this is the first recording of the new fiscal year, there is nothing to compare it to, except that it is higher than 2014’s average of 172 calls per month. The County Clerk & Recorder Office offers several services for a fee to residents of the county and other outside agencies, such as certified birth certificates, licenses and recording fees. In December, they had revenues of $51,748.12 from these fees and tax redemptions and stamps, significantly up from $12,964.05 in November, as it had been going down for three months in a row at the end of Fiscal Year 2014. The Sheriff’s report showed 14 arrests were made in December, down 1 from November’s arrests. Deputies issued 45 tickets last month, down from 58 tickets in November, while they issued 59 warnings, which is an increase from the 48 warnings in November. Sheriff Danny Bradac also informed the Board that there are currently 8 Federal prisoners being housed at the Washington County Jail.
