The Oakdale Grade School Board of Education met a week ago and they were presented with the 2013-2014 School Report Card.  It showed that there were 80 students with an average class size of 9 students.  The school had an attendance rate of 96 percent.  The percentage of students at the school that met or exceeded the standards of the ISAT was 51 percent, lower than the State rate of 59 percent.  The school’s percentage dropped 8 in the past year. 42.5 percent of the students attending are from low income families, while only 1 percent are homeless and 16.3 percent have disabilities.  It costs $5,342 per student to teach them and $9,987 per student to operate the school, both below the State cost.  Overall, the report had bright spots for a good report card.
