Little more than a month remains for prospective Rend Lake College students to submit an application for numerous RLC Foundation scholarships. The application is due by Friday, February 27th for the Fall 2015 semester. Interested students can find the application at www.rlc.edu/rlcf. It takes only minutes to complete the form, and students must submit their most recent transcript and one letter of recommendation to complete the application process. Students are also required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. To complete the FAFSA, visit www.fafsa.ed.gov or contact the RLC Financial Aid Office at 618-437-5321, extension 1385. Scholarship recipients are selected based on the criteria set forth by each scholarship. High school students will be informed of their awards at their high school honors nights, with letters being sent out after May 1, 2015. Applications will be accepted after February 27th, however, preference will be given to students who meet the due date. Last year, more than 500 scholarships and tuition waivers worth approximately $350,000 were awarded to RLC students through the Foundation.
