Deer hunting is many months away, but the Illinois Department of Natural Resources reminds resident Illinois deer hunters, that they can apply now through April 30^th for the first lottery drawings for 2015 Illinois Firearm and Muzzleloader-only Deer Season permits.  Hunters can apply online through the IDNR website www.dnr.illinois.gov.  The first lottery drawings for firearm and muzzleloader-only deer permits are for Illinois residents only.  Resident hunters can apply in both the firearm and muzzleloader-only lotteries.  The 2015 Illinois firearm deer seasons are November 20^th through the 22^nd for the first season and December 3^rd through the 6^th for the second season.  The 2015 muzzleloader-only permits may be used December 11^th through the 13^th, as well as in the second firearm season.
