The 7^th Annual Kaskaskia College High School Honor Band will be held in the Jane Knight Auditorium tomorrow at 7 PM.  The concert is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Students representing 10 schools from the district will participate in this year’s ensemble. The students will meet for the first time at 9 AM and will rehearse the entire day. Students were selected by director recommendation and by the requirements of the music. This year’s guest conductor is Mr. Michael Hanes. He is Director of Bands Emeritus at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He retired in 2005 after thirty-eight years as a member of the SIUC music faculty. Hanes now serves as conductor of the John A. Logan College Community Band.
