The Nashville Police Department was very busy in the past week. Last Monday, they assisted the Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies with a traffic crash, responded to the 200 block of West Walnut Street for a parking complaint and responded to Memorial Park for a suspicious vehicle. Late at night, they initiated a traffic stop on a truck driven by 48-year old Ronald D. Gillihan of Benton on West Saint Louis Street near South Box Street and arrested him on a charge of DUI. They also issued him a citation for Improper Lane Usage and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. On Tuesday, they met with a subject at Little Nashville asking for ministerial alliance assistance, but was denied. They were also requested by EMS for assistance at Nascote for a combative patient. They took a report of a phone scam from a resident on the 300 block of West High Street, assisted county deputies with an alarm on Windswept Drive and at the Jail with an unruly inmate. On Wednesday, the NPD responded to the 17,800 block of Exchange Avenue for a 911 hang up call and responded to the 900 block of West Vernor Street for an unwanted subject. Then on Friday, they again responded to Little Nashville for a person requesting ministerial alliance aid, but was denied. They also assisted with a child custody exchange on the 600 block of South Kaskaskia Street. Earlier in the day, they were called to Butcher Engineering on the 17,500 block of Mockingbird Road in reference to two employees forced to leave under the suspicion of being under the influence. The 2 male subjects were found walking near Citgo and one of them, 31-old Brett A. Alcorn of Centralia, was arrested on a Jackson County probation violation warrant. On Sunday, officers reported to the 800 block of North Kaskaskia Street for a civil dispute, assisted EMS with a medical call on the 1,000 block of Saint Paul Street, responded to the Fuzzy Duck Saloon for a female subject being kicked out, but refusing to leave. When police officers arrived, the female passed out and she was transported by EMS to Washington County Hospital. They also responded to the 300 block of West High Street for a report of threats. Finally, early Monday morning, the NPD again responded to the Fuzzy Duck for a disturbance and responded to the 700 block of East Saint Louis for a bat inside a residence.
