Nashville High School students went to Math Field Day at Southeast Missouri State University on Tuesday. There were multiple categories and there were some first, second and third place winners, all in the small school division. In the Individual Open Events, Brett Roth placed 1st in 10th grade Algebra I and 2nd in Computational Mathematics, Jessica Clark was 1st in 10th grade Geometry, Luke Cox was 1st in 11th grade Exponential & Logarithmic, Alyssa Lohmann was 2nd in 12th grade Matrices & Determinants, Kelsie Klingenberg was 3rd in 12th grade Analytic Geometry, Alex Orr was 2nd in Non-Routine Problem Solving Level 2, 2nd in 12th grade Calculus and 1st in Sets & Logic, while Logan Czerniewski was 2nd. Jacoby Woodrome was 3rd in Computational Mathematics, Tyler Williamson was 1st in Non-Routine Problem Solving Level 1 and Lucas Morgan was 3rd in Non-Routine Problem Solving Level 2. In the Team Events, Nashville was 2nd in Medley and the team consisted of Czerniewski, Klingenberg, Orr and Sam Polzynski.
