The Nashville Police Department responded to some accidents in the past week.  There was one last Monday on the Circle K parking lot, but it was a fender bender.  A week ago there was a fender bender between two semis on the McDonald’s parking lot.  On Saturday, there was a hit and run accident that occurred on the Circle K parking lot.  Seth Dinkelman of Nashville reported that while he was backing out of a parking space, an unknown vehicle struck his vehicle at a high rate of speed and continued onto Route 127.  Officers were able to locate and stop the suspect on the 100 block of North Mill Street, where they arrested the driver of the car, 21-year old William R. Dixon of Anna for leaving the scene of an accident, driving while license suspended and for unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe and needle.  There was another fender bender on Sunday in the McDonald’s parking lot.  They also initiated a traffic stop on North Mill Street at East Elm Street and arrested 23-year old Meagan Kniser of Nashville for driving while license suspended.  On Friday, they responded to the 700 block of East Gorman to a call of a disorderly conduct complaint.  28-year old Tiffany D. Frech of Nashville was allegedly causing a disturbance and was asked to leave.  When she refused, she was cited for disorderly conduct and was escorted off the property.  On Sunday, the NPD assisted the Washington County Sheriff’s Department with the apprehension of Sarah E. McManus of Nashville, who was wanted on Aggravated Assault charges.  The NPD responded to another couple of calls about IRS phone scam calls that residents have gotten.  They also responded to an alarm on the 400 block of North Kaskaskia Street last Monday, as well as a report of a missing juvenile from the 200 block of North Grand Avenue, but the juvenile was located.  They also conducted a welfare check on a resident of the 700 block of South Mill Street.  On Tuesday, they responded to an alarm on the 800 block of East Saint Louis Street, took a report of bank fraud from the 100 block of West Saint Louis Street, took a report of vehicle damage from a person on the 100 block of East Angie Avenue and responded to the 100 block of East Saint Louis Street for a call about suspicious persons.  On Thursday, officers responded to a complaint of threats on the 700 block of South Moore Street and took a report of home repair fraud at a residence on the 200 block of West Third Street.  On Friday, there was a report of a traffic crash on South Mill Street in front of Dairy Queen, responded to a call of a suicidal subject on the 400 block of North Hoffman Street, went to the Lutheran Cemetery for a report of a suspicious vehicle, as well as one on the 700 block of South Grand Avenue and conducted a welfare check on the 300 block of West Maple Street.  On Saturday, the NPD located 2 subjects that ran away from a youth home in Centralia that were walking on Route 127.  On Sunday they responded to an alarm on the 600 block of North Mill Street, went to the 300 block of West Maple Street a couple of times for a civil dispute and they responded to the 700 block of South Mill Street for an assault and trespassing complaint, but the suspect fled the scene.  Charges are pending on this individual.
