The consolidated election has been completed with the final votes tallied from each county and then canvased.  The 2 tied races in Washington County involved the Ashley City Council between Leslie Jones and Leonard Piasecki with 58 votes each for the final spot, but an absentee ballot came in for Piasecki to give him the victory.  For the unexpired 2-year term for the Hoyleton Grade School Board of Education, the tie between Charlene Herrmann and Brooke D. Kehn will be decided at their special Board meeting on Thursday night.  At that time, they may flip a coin or something else to decide the winner.
