The City of Nashville is having “All Trash Days” for 3 days beginning tomorrow, then Wednesday and next Saturday. Items to be disposed of must be taken to the collection site near the Compost & Brush sites at the end of North Washington Street from 8 AM to 4 PM. Dumping will be permissible by Nashville residents only on these 3 days. Please not building contractors. Unauthorized dumping may result in a fine. No concrete, shingles or roofing materials and no demolitions will be accepted. Contact the mayor at 327-3058 if you have any questions regarding disposal of demolitions. Other unacceptable items include hazardous waste, nuclear waste of any kind, medical waste, tires, grease trap waste or liquid waste such as paint, paint thinner, oil. No yard waste such as grass clippings or limbs will be accepted as these may be dumped at the brush or compost site as appropriate. Also, no batteries, no electronics and no mattresses or box springs, just leave them outside of container and they will be disposed of. “White Goods” such as refrigerators, ranges, water heaters, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, ovens, stoves, clothes washers or dryers, dishwashers, water coolers, heat pumps, chillers, furnaces, and boilers will be accepted. Again, just leave them outside of the dumpsters as they will be disposed of separately. Remember, doors must be removed from all refrigerators and freezers. The recycling truck will be at the compost site tomorrow and it will also be behind the Farm Bureau building as usual next Wednesday.
