The Nashville Lion’s Club is putting on another busy Maifest this holiday weekend at Memorial Park. There will be adult softball, Little League baseball, inflatables for the kids, music at night, as well as the great food stand with various pork products and hamburgers. They will also have their beer stand going for those adults that are thirsty throughout the weekend. Lion’s Club member Jay Colbrook is a co-chairman and heads up the beer stand. They have Anheuser Busch, Miller Light and Stag products at the stand, as well as flavored alcoholic drinks. They sell tickets to those 21 and over to redeem for the beer or drinks. Colbrook invites everyone down to have a good time and drink responsibly. The beer and drinks are under the large pavilion by the ball diamonds and will be open tonight at 5 PM until about 1 AM, while back open at 10:30 AM on Saturday and open until about 1 AM again. Colbrook says the Lion’s Club will also be selling Maifest t-shirts at the pavilion. This event is the Lion’s Club’s biggest fundraiser to help those with vision and hearing problems, as well as donate money to various projects or organizations in Nashville throughout the year.
