The Saint Louis Cardinals were shutout 5 to nothing by the Kansas City Royals Friday night, then lost 3 to 2 in a rain shortened 5 inning game on Saturday night.  They avoided the sweep by winning 6 to 1 yesterday.

The Nashville Hornet baseball team beat Chester 4 to 2 on Saturday in the Class 2A Red Bud Regional final.  They move onto the Nashville Sectional to take on Carmi-White County on Thursday at home at 4:30.

The Nashville Hornette softball team beat Red Bud 6 to 1 in the final of the Class 2A Nashville Regional.  They take on Pinckneyville in the Carterville Sectional on Tuesday at 4:30.
