The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline nationwide went up slightly in the past week, as it is now at $2.76 per gallon, up a penny, while it was at $3.64 per gallon one year ago.  There was a slight decrease in Illinois for the past week though, as it went down from $2.94 per gallon of regular gas to $2.92 this past week.  It also went down in Nashville from around $2.65 per gallon to $2.60.
