The Nashville Police only responded to one accident in the past week, but they made several arrests. The accident was on Wednesday in the afternoon on the 11,700 block of Route 127 in the Little Nashville parking lot, as there was a fender bender with no injuries. Officers also responded to a few calls of damage to vehicles. One call was on last Monday on the 300 block of East Lebanon Street, while another call was on Wednesday on the 100 block of North Mill Street and the third call was on Saturday on the 300 block of East Lebanon Street again. Last Monday, the NPD responded to Memorial Park for a report of domestic battery. Upon arrival, they found that 64-year old Jingshan Yi had called that he had hit his wife, 65-year old Min Liu, and was going to hit her again. Both are of Nashville. Yi was arrested for Domestic Battery and was taken to the Washington County Jail. Later in the afternoon, they assisted the Washington County Sheriff’s Department with a call on Interstate 64 near mile marker 59 in the westbound lanes with a physical domestic incident, with the female subject running into the traffic trying to kill herself. She was taken to the hospital. Then, later that evening, they responded to the 100 block of East David Drive in regard to removing a subject from the residence. When they arrived, officers found that 20-year old Jacob McCandless of Collinsville had allegedly pulled a knife on 20-year old Edward Mesch of Nashville and threatened to stab him. McCandless was arrested for Assault and there was no report of any injuries. On Tuesday, 60-year old Greg Kitowski of the 300 block of East Lebanon Street was issued a city ordinance citation for overgrowth and unkempt vegetation, while getting another citation for allowing an offensive odor to exist on the property, which then crossed onto neighboring properties. Wednesday evening, the NPD initiated a traffic stop on South Mill Street at East Adams Street and arrested 52-year old Ricardo H. Trujillo of Murphysboro on a Williamson County warrant for Failure to Appear.
