Despite the threat of rain all week, it’s still okay to get and enjoy music in nature.  Tomorrow night is the 4th of 6 concerts in Nashville sponsored by the Washington County, Illinois Arts Council.  Because of the renovations at the Washington County Courthouse, the Thursday night free concerts are being held at Memorial Park at the pavilion with the stage across the creek by the golf course, so the rain won’t cancel the show.  Tomorrow night’s band is a new local band called The Threshermen.  Event coordinator Rick Harris talks about the band and why it is good to come to see them.  If you know Gary Clark of C.A.R.S. on North Route 127 and his son Sean out there, then you’ll recognize Sean on stage in the band.  The Threshermen plays a mix of music, including some modern country music, some country rock and that kind of tempo.  Harris says they are a young group and he thinks that the public should come out and support them, as these guys have taken the time to learn to play and sing for the public.  The concert is at 6 PM with all the usual free popcorn, lemonade, tea and water, it’s just at the park now.  Bring your lawn chair to sit under the pavilion, as well as any snacks you want to Memorial Park in Nashville for the Concerts in the Park tomorrow night.
