The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline nationwide went up slightly in the past week, as it is now at $2.80 per gallon, up from $2.76, while it was at $3.66 per gallon one year ago.  There was a significant increase in Illinois for the past week, as it went up from $2.92 per gallon of regular gas to $3.01 this past week.  It also went up in Nashville from around $2.60 per gallon to $2.68.
