The Hoyleton Grade School Board of Education held their last Board meeting on Thursday night. Superintendent Elaine Hemker says they approved of end of the school financial moves, such as closing various accounts, including the District Now account and the revolving account and some C.D.s they had and then transferred it all to Nashville Grade School, effective July 1st. There are some items that have not been picked up and they will be put in the gym and go with the school when it is sold next week. There is a public viewing of the main school building on June 28th from 2 to 4 PM and then an auction on June 30th at 7 PM. Hemker says that the building will be sold as long as the winning bid is at least $1. There was a concern about moving the telescope and the building it was in, but the telescope has been moved and when the weather is better, they will move the building to NGS, as well. Everything else will be transferred into NGS on July 1st, when the annexation officially takes place.
