The Illinois State Police District 13 / 22 Commander William Sons reported preliminary information regarding the 2015 Street Machine Nationals detail, which were held at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds this past week and that it was a successful event.  The Illinois State Police, the Perry County Sheriff’s Department, the City of DuQuoin Police Department and the event promoter, Family Events, partnered to create a family friendly environment.  Lieutenant Sons would like to thank all of the agencies involved in making this event a great success. The ISP are announcing enforcement figures for the weekend.  There were 24 citations issued including 1 arrest, 3 other alcohol arrests, 7 squealing tires citations, 7 speeding and 3 seatbelt citations.  There were 41 total written warnings issued, including 9 for speeding and 3 for distracted driving.  These enforcement documents were written by Illinois State Police officers during the Street Machine Nationals detail and included officers from Districts 11, 12, 13, 19, 22 and Zone 7 Investigations.
