Illinois State Police Zone 6 officers conducted Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement surveillance at various establishments during the evening hours of Thursday in Saint Clair County.  The purpose of these ACE details is to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to persons under 21 years of age.  A total of 30 locations were surveyed in Belleville, Caseyville, Fairview Heights and Swansea.  Of those businesses, Motomart located at 6114 North Illinois in Fairview Heights and Caytown Convenience located at 605 South Main Street in Caseyville, were involved in the sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor.  Store employees Kayla Icke of Caytown Convenience and Kimberly Moore of Motomart were arrested for Unlawful Delivery of Alcoholic Liquor to a Minor, a Class A misdemeanor and were released on a notice to appear in court.  The Illinois State Police commends establishments which do not sell alcohol to minors.  This project was funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
