Bail was set Wednesday in Clinton County Court at $10,000 for a 26-year old Centralia man arrested Tuesday in connection with a break-in at a retail store in Centralia’s Fairview Shopping Center. Darrel Nangle was charged Wednesday in Clinton County Court with Class 2 felony burglary and Class 4 felony criminal damage to property. A surveillance video from the store shows around 1:12 AM Tuesday that a cinder block being thrown through the front window of GameBlast, with a subject now identified by Centralia police as Nangle entering the store and leaving with several gaming systems, along with approximately 300 games. Police say all the stolen merchandise has been recovered. Video from other business surveillance systems in the area reportedly captured images of Nangle’s vehicle. Police say they were able to verify Nangle was the person seen in the video. In fact, a hat worn by the subject in the video, matched a hat being worn by Nangle in a photo taken from his Facebook page. The break-in was discovered around 8:30 Tuesday morning, with the operators of the store able to clean up the mess and reopen for business later in the day. Nangle remains in the Clinton County Jail, in lieu of $1,000 cash bond.
