The 67th Annual Okawville Fair and Wheat Festival begins tomorrow night. Fair President Roy Frederking says it will open at 5 PM with the concession stands and the rides at the park will be from 6 to 11 PM, and J. Christopher, the Most Dangerous One Man Band will perform on the outdoor stage for free from 8 to midnight, but the really big event is the Queen and Junior Miss Pageant, which is at 7 o’clock at the Junior – Senior High School. There are 6 county girls vying for the Queen and they have had some good success in 3 of the past 5 years with the winners being in the top 15 in the state. Frederking says it costs $7 for a ticket, but that also gives you one vote. There is plenty of activities, entertainment and food all weekend long in Okawville at the Community Club Park with no charge to be in the park or for parking. Arm band prices will be available for the rides at a discount throughout the event. The big event is on Sunday at 2 PM with the parade.
