As a part of its commitment to community, Tri-County Electric Cooperative, Incorporated is offering eight Touchstone Energy Classroom Empowerment Grants to innovative, unfunded projects or materials. Qualifying projects are those that improve the learning environment or increase educational resources for the school. K-12 public and private school administrators or teachers must submit a grant application that can be obtained from TCEC. The application requests information about the project, the school and the applicant. A panel of judges will determine which projects will be awarded the eight grants of $500 each. School administrators or teachers must complete and mail, e-mail or fax a grant application to the address or number on the registration form by November 6th. The grant awards will be announced mid-December, 2015. For more information about Touchstone Energy Classroom Empowerment Grants, please contact Bruce Barkau at TCEC at 618-244-5151 or download a grant application from the TCEC website www.tricountycoop.com.
