The number of animals that need homes that are at the Washington County Animal Shelter has not changed in the 3rd week in a row. 2 dogs found homes, and 2 new dogs were brought in, including a young husky mix and a young pit bull, so the number of dogs is still at 4. Last week there were 5 cats available, and that has not changed, so there are still 9 animals at the shelter that need homes this week. Dog adoption fee is $30, which includes an A.V.I.D. Identification Chip. In addition, new owners will receive a certificate for $50 off spaying or neutering. Pictures are available online at www.petfinder.com and type in 62263 at the first space in the upper left. The shelter also is a place to drop off aluminum cans for recycling. They then use the money from this to help pay for expenses of housing the cats and dogs. It is located at 17,990 Richview Road in Nashville. For more information, call 327-4800, extension 355.
