The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 3 accidents and assisted 1 motorist in the past week. One accident was on Friday as they assisted the Illinois State Police, as it involved a vehicle hitting a deer on Route 127 and County Highway 22.  The names of those involved were not released, but there was no mention of any injuries.  The 2nd accident was on Saturday, as they assisted the Nashville Police with an accident.  On Sunday, there was an accident on Route 4 at the intersection with Bernrueter Street, but the driver had fled the scene prior to deputies responding and there was no report of any injuries.   The Nashville Police Department also responded to some accidents and assisted a motorist.  One was on Thursday on the 17,500 block of Mockingbird Road as there was a fender bender.  An accident on late Friday morning occurred in the parking lot at Friendship Manor, as there was a fender bender involving a parked vehicle.  There were no injuries reported, nor any citations issued.  There was another accident on Friday, but in the evening, involving another fender bender with a parked vehicle on West Court Street by the Courthouse.  Again no injuries were reported and no citations were issued.  The accident on Saturday morning was at the Innertech parking lot, involving a fender bender of a parked vehicle.  There were no injuries and no citations issued.  The final accident the NPD responded to was on Saturday night on Route 127, in front of Hardees, as one car was stopped in traffic, but an approaching vehicle did not stop in time and struck the rear of the other car.  There was no mention of any injuries or citations being issued.
