The Washington County Board met Tuesday night and went through several reports that they approved. The Ambulance and Rescue Service responded to only 132 calls in October, which is the lowest for this fiscal year, which ends at the end of November. There were 150 calls in September, but other than that, the numbers have been down for the past 7 months. There have been 1,685 calls for the year. That’s an average of 153 calls per month for this year. The County Clerk & Recorder Office offers several services for a fee to residents of the county and other outside agencies, such as certified birth certificates, licenses and recording fees. Last month, they had revenues of $13,160.79 from these fees and tax redemptions and stamps. This is down from $30,024.34 in September. The Sheriff’s report showed there were only 35 arrests last month, as there were 62 arrests in September. Deputies issued 65 warnings for October, down from the 71 warnings in September.
