The Kaskaskia College Music Department will present its Holiday Instrumental Concert on Tuesday at 7:30 PM in the Jane Knight Auditorium.  The concert features the Kaskaskia College Concert, Jazz Band, and Brass Ensemble under the direction of Professor Cliff Jourdan.  In addition, the concert will showcase a special “Christmas at KC” preview performance by the Kaskaskia College Concert Choir under the direction of Professor Lynda Marshall.  Concert Band Highlights include Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride”, “Patapan” arranged by Shelley Hanson, “Symphonic Prelude on Adeste Fidelis” by Claude T. Smith, “Fantasia On A 13th Century Carol: March of the Three Kings” by James L. Hosay, and Alfred Reed’s “Russian Christmas Music”.  Jazz Band Highlights include “Comfort and Joy” arranged by Rick Hirsch, “Angels We Have Heard On High” and “O Tannenbaum” as performed by the Stan Kenton Orchestra, “Go Tell It on the Mountain” by Alan Baylock, “I’m Beginning To See The Light” arranged by Gordon Goodwin, and “The Little Drummer Boy” arranged by Rob Holmes.  The Concert is free and open to the public.
