Precipitation in Washington County was nearly nonexistent in October, with the lowest amount since the drought of 2012, but last month the rain came down with the 3rd highest amount this year. According to readings taken by the City of Nashville Water Plant, there was 6.77 inches of rain. Last November there was 2.22 inches of rain and 3 inches of snow. Rain last month fell the most with 1.8 inches on the 17th. There was also 1.67 inches of rain on November 28th. To date, there has been 46.36 inches of rain for the year, about 8 inches more than this time last year. High temperatures were mostly in the 50s with nearly as many days in the 60s. The high temperature though was 70 degrees on November 2nd. Low temperatures were mostly in the 30s, with nearly as many nights in the 40s, but the lowest was 19 degrees on November 22nd. In November 2014, the high was 67 and the low was 11 degrees. The average high temperature last month was 58.2 degrees, down 10 and a half degrees from October, while the average low temperature last month was at 40.2 degrees, down 6 degrees from the previous month.
