An accident in Germantown claims the life of an Aviston man.  Clinton County Coroner Phillip Moss reports that 80-year old Stephen Hellmann was going south on the Breese – Germantown Road on late Friday morning, when his car was hit by a train at the crossing.  Moss pronounced Hellmann deceased at 11:42 AM at the scene, saying the cause was blunt force trauma.  Norfolk Southern Railroad will be conducting an investigation, which will include looking at camera footage from the train, as it wasn’t clear why the car was on the tracks.
