The Nashville Police Department responded to some accidents in the past week, but they also answered other calls. Last Monday, they responded to Mercantile Drive for a suspicious item, took a report of an attempted identity theft from someone on the 400 block of North Hoffman Street, conducted a welfare check on someone on the 100 block of East 3rd Street and responded to the 200 block of North Washington Street for a theft. One week ago, they conducted a welfare check on a resident on the 100 block of East Angela Avenue, responded to Route 127 at Mercantile Drive for a domestic dispute, went to the 600 block of West Goodner Street for a fire alarm and initiated a traffic stop on North Mill Street at East Elm Street and arrested 33-year old Shon Ridgeway of DuQuoin for Driving While License Suspended. On Friday, officers assisted the Illinois State Police with an accident south of Nashville, responded to the 500 block of West Adams Street for an alarm, took a report of an attempted identity theft involving someone’s social security, took a report of child custody interference on the 900 block of West Vernor Street, responded to the 400 block of South Grand Street for a fight and responded to the 900 block of South Kaskaskia Street for a domestic disturbance. On Saturday, the NPD arrested 26-year old Joseph Rhodes of Farina on a warrant and conducted a welfare check on a resident on the 200 block of South Mill Street. Finally, yesterday they responded to the 600 block of West Walnut Street for a 911 static call.
