Updating a story from yesterday, bail was set Wednesday at $100,000 for a 17-year old Centralia man charged as an adult with an armed robbery earlier this month of a Central City retail store.  Oslo White was formally charged Wednesday in Marion County Court with Class X felony armed robbery in connection with the alleged armed robbery of the Dollar General Store in Central City.  A warrant for his arrest was issued December 22^nd and the case file was sealed until his arrest.  White was arrested Tuesday afternoon when Centralia and Wamac police allegedly found him hiding on a shelf in the closet of a Centralia apartment.  Judge Mark Kelley had previously found probable cause to arrest and charge White with the armed robbery and issued the arrest warrant.  Judge Kelley also set bail at $100,000 and appointed Public Defender Matt Chancey to represent White in the case that could result in a prison sentence of between 6 and 30 years if convicted.  A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for January 26^th.
