Updating a story from yesterday, bail was set Wednesday at $100,000 for a 17-year old Centralia man charged as an adult with an armed robbery earlier this month of a Central City retail store.  Oslo White was formally charged Wednesday in Marion County Court with Class X felony armed robbery in connection with the alleged armed robbery of the Dollar General Store in Central City.  A warrant for his arrest was issued December 22nd and the case file was sealed until his arrest.  White was arrested Tuesday afternoon when Centralia and Wamac police allegedly found him hiding on a shelf in the closet of a Centralia apartment.  Judge Mark Kelley had previously found probable cause to arrest and charge White with the armed robbery and issued the arrest warrant.  Judge Kelley also set bail at $100,000 and appointed Public Defender Matt Chancey to represent White in the case that could result in a prison sentence of between 6 and 30 years if convicted.  A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for January 26th.
