The Nashville Memorial Park Board met Monday night and President Steve Fletcher says they did not take any action on anything, but discussed some projects.  The big project right now is getting the electric switched from overhead wires to underground.  This is the area over the parking lot and down to the baseball diamonds, especially those over the playground.  They are waiting for better weather to get underground work done, including the installation of piping.  He talked about how it is progressing and what the next steps are.  Once the conduit is put, then Illinois Power will come in and finish the main electrical part.  Then J & R Appliance has the bid to tie all the electric to the facilities.  Once electricity has been set up to the ball diamond area and buildings, the overhead wires and poles will come down.  The completion date is to be sometime before April 15th.  The Board is waiting for better weather to also get work done at the pool house, including a possible new roof.  Work on the new playground in honor of Sierra Wilder is progressing says Fletcher.  The equipment is in and concrete work has been done, but there is still work to do inside the perimeter on the drainage, as well as put some mulch in the playground area and some work with the dirt around the outside area, but again this project waits for better weather.  The next meeting is on Monday, February 1st at 7 PM at the Park Office.
