The Washington County Board met Tuesday night and went through several reports that they approved.  The Ambulance and Rescue Service responded to 167 calls for the first month of the new fiscal year.  This is up from the 122 calls in November.  The County Clerk & Recorder Office offers several services for a fee to residents of the county and other outside agencies, such as certified birth certificates, licenses and recording fees.  Last month, they had revenues of $39,104.76 from these fees and tax redemptions and stamps.  This is more than double the $17,255.95 in November.  Clerk Nancy Heseman reported that she had applied for a grant from the Illinois State Board of Elections in 2015 and received $8,000 to go towards the voting system.  The Sheriff’s report showed there were 67 arrests in December, up from the 55 arrests the previous month.  Deputies issued 60 warnings, down 5 from November.  Sheriff Danny Bradac reported that there are 4 Federal prisoners and 16 County prisoners.
