Washington County Clerk & Recorder, Nancy Heseman is reminding residents of the county that the grace period for voting is now through March 15th.  Under this grace period, a person may register to vote and – or transfer voting information, but would also have to vote that day at the Clerk & Recorder’s office, which is on the bottom floor of the Nashville Community Center.  Early voting is also going on now.  A voter does not need to have a reason to vote early anymore and this is done at the office during regular business hours.  A registered voter can also request a ballot be mailed to them and they would send it back completed.  Ballots cannot be mailed out after March 10th.  The office will be open Mondays through Fridays from 8 AM to 4 PM, as well as Saturday, March 12th from 8 AM to noon and from 6 AM to 7 PM on March 15th.  For more information, call 327-4800, extension 300.
