Casey Middle School in Mount Vernon was evacuated Monday due to a bomb threat, the second in as many weeks. Students were taken to Saint Mary’s Catholic Church during Monday’s evacuation. In a threat received by the school on February 22nd, a 13-year old juvenile was arrested later on that afternoon and was sent to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center. Calls to Mount Vernon District 80 officials indicated that they declined to comment on the matter at this time.
