The Nashville Police Department was busy in the past week, as last Monday they responded to the 17,500 block of Mockingbird Road for a report of damage to a vehicle and went to the 800 block of North Kaskaskia Street for a domestic dispute. One week ago they responded to the 400 block of North Kaskaskia Street for a violation of a no contact order. They also initiated a traffic stop in the evening on Route 127, just south of Interstate 64, which resulted in the arrest of 23-year old Kaitlin L. Pickett and 25-year old Ashlee Trent, both of Tacoma, Washington. Pickett was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, as well as being issued citations for Expired Registration and for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Trent was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and for 2 counts of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, as well as being issued a citation for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. On Thursday, officers went to the 11,700 block of Route 127 for a solicitor complaint, responded to the 800 block of East Lebanon for a report of harassment, and went to the 100 block of West Saint Louis Street for suspicious activity. On Friday, the NPD responded to the 400 block of South Friendship Drive for a theft, went to the 600 block of West Center Street for a report of harassment and responded to the 17,700 block of Mercantile Drive for a report of a customer that was intoxicated and being disorderly to others. This person then left the store and while driving was located by the police, who initiated a traffic stop and arrested David Romero of Nashville for DUI. They also initiated a traffic stop in the early morning hours at North Mill Street and East Railroad Street, resulting in the arrest of 22-year old Ruthie B.E. Thomas of Cutler for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, while being issued citations for Driving With No Head Lights When Required and for Driving With No Driver’s License. On Saturday, officers took a report of an attempted scam of someone claiming to be from Microsoft, responded to the 600 block of West Center Street for a disturbance and conducted a welfare check on a residence on the 400 block of East Adams Street. On Sunday, they assisted EMS with a call on North Frank Street, responded to a call about someone making suicide threats and went to the 127 Lounge about a disturbance. Yesterday, the NPD assisted the Washington County Sheriff’s Department and the Okawville Police with apprehending a suspect that had fled on foot.
