The Nashville Memorial Park Board met Monday night and President Steve Fletcher reported that work is progressing on several projects.  One of the 2 big projects involves the moving of electric lines from overhead to underground, especially on the top parking lot and down at the ball fields.  Ameren Illinois is expected this week to finish their part of the project and then J & R will be coming in to finish the project, so it should all be done within 10 to 14 days, depending on the weather.  The other project involves renovation of the pool house area, which has also begun.  The Masonry work is about 50 percent completed, the roofing work is scheduled to begin the week of April 18th, the carpenter is coordinating with the roofing company to do what he needs to do, as any bad boards will need to be replaced, along with replacing doors, as well as soffit and facia work to dress it up.  Fletcher has also asked for bids from local painters for work to be done both inside and outside the bathhouse.  New tennis court nets will be installed soon at the courts by the park building and bathrooms.  Jamie Browne visited the Park Board and talked about some suggestions that parents of swimmers had about the pool, such as new lounge chairs, hooks on the fence to hang towels and bags, as well as replacing the diving board.  They have been trying to get someone out to look at it and that should happen in the next week.  There has been one person interested in finishing out a vacated position on the Board and they will address that issue at the next meeting.  Becky Styninger had been re-elected, but has not had the time to attend meetings as she has a business and family to take care of.  Mayor Raymond Kolweier also attended the meeting and asked the Park Board to approve a resolution, supporting a 5-year extension for the Enterprise Zone, which they did.  The next meeting is on Monday, May 2nd at 7:30 PM.
