Nashville police officers were kept busy with a variety of calls over the last week. Last Monday started with a welfare check in the 11,700 block of State Route 127, followed by an EMS assist at the 17,500 block of Mockingbird. It was an eventful day last Tuesday, as officers looked into suspicious activity in the 600 block of East Lebanon, took a report of an attempted phone scam in the 400 block of North Kaskaskia, responded to a 911 hangup call from the 18,000 block of Enterprise Avenue, and went to the 900 block of West St. Louis for a report of child abandonment. On Thursday, officers responded to an animal complaint in the 400 block of West Adams and answered a fire alarm in the 1300 block of South Mill. Friday saw police respond to South Mill Street for an alarm, looked into a civil issue in the 200 block of South Broadway, went to Holzhauer’s for a report of suspicious activity, and helped with an unruly subject at Washington County Hospital. On Saturday, a report of a suspicious person at the golf course was handled, an officer looked into an alarm on East Lebanon, and went to the 400 block of West Alton for a report of suspicious activity. Sunday started with a civil issue in the 11,700 block of State Route 127, took a report of a lost wallet in the 1100 block of South Mill Street, responded to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of East Angie Avene, and did a welfare check in the 600 block of West Goodner Street.
Washington County Sheriff’s deputies assisted the Wamac Police Department with a report of domestic trouble in Irvington last Wednesday. Also on Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of a theft occurring in rural Nashville and took a report of a car striking a deer on County Highway 10 west of Blackjack Road. Another deer in the roadway incident occurred Thursday near New Minden. Also on Thursday, the sheriff’s office took a fraud report from an Oakdale resident. A possible blown transformer on State Route 127 near Oakdale Blacktop had a deputy on scene Friday, and the sheriff’s office returned a phone call to an Oakdale resident in reference to a civil matter. Also on Friday, a deputy responded to Conservation Drive in reference to a report of reckless driving. Saturday saw a deputy look into a report of domestic trouble in Richview. Sunday had several incidents, including a report of a suspicious vehicle in rural Nashville, a trespassing report in DuBois, and a deputy looked into reports of loud explosions in rural Okawville. On Monday, a deputy responded to a report of suspicious activity in Richview.
