There were several reports of accidents handled by the Nashville Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Office last week. On Tuesday, Nashville officers responded to the eastbound off ramp of Interstate 64 for a single-vehicle accident. According to the report, a vehicle had driven off the road and become stuck. A sheriff’s deputy responded to a two-vehicle accident on County Highway 21 at South Grand Road on Thursday where a vehicle driven by Maxwell Tebbe of Nashville struck a vehicle driven by John Welch of Nashville due to the road conditions. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene after sustaining damage over $1500. A Nashville officer was also on scene for the accident. Another accident on Thursday had Nashville police at East Chester Street and South Mill for a two-vehicle accident in which a vehicle driven by Shelly Oltmann of Nashville rear-ended a vehicle driven by Paul Disper of Nashville. No injuries resulted from the accident, and a report was taken on scene. The sheriff’s office, Nashville Fire Department and Washington County Ambulance responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 64 near mile marker 55 on Thursday. No injuries were reported. Friday had Nashville police taking a report of a sign that had been struck by a vehicle on the corner of West St. Louis Street and North Broadway Street. The vehicle left the scene of the accident with reporting it. Nashville Police and a sheriff’s deputy assisted the Nashville Fire Department with a Uhaul fire on Interstate 64 on Saturday.
