It was a busy weekend for accidents for the Nashville Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Friday saw several incidents, starting with a two-vehicle accident without injuries in Nashville. Police were on hand at South Buhrman Street and East Adams Street to take a report of an accident in which a vehicle driven by Sydney Dees of Nashville hit a vehicle driven by Breanne Pelker of Nashville. Also on Friday, Nashville officers responded to the intersection of State Route 127 at Mockingbird Road for a two-vehicle crash in which Jacob Wacker of Hoyleton rear-ended a car driven by Timothy Pennington of Carbondale as the vehicle was stopped for a traffic light. The sheriff’s department also handled two incidents, starting with a motorist assist on Interstate 64 near Mile Marker 53. The other incident involved David Woodside of Tamaroa, who struck a dog with his vehicle on County Highway 21 north of Oakdale. No injuries reported. Three more incidents were reported Saturday. Nashville police handled a single-vehicle accident on State Route 127 just north of East Huegley Street in which a Sterling Watts of Okawville lost control of his vehicle into the ditch. No injuries were reported. Also on Saturday, a sheriff’s deputy responded to U.S. Highway 51 near State Rt. 177 for a report of debris in the roadway, and in another incident, assisted the Washington County Ambulance and Okawville Fire Department with a medical call in Okawville. Nashville police and the sheriff’s office responded to single-vehicle accident on State Route 15 just east of Lake Shore Lane for an accident where a vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility polie. The accident involved injuries and a road blockage, but no further details have been released yet.
