Nashville Community High School and their School Board held a special meeting yesterday night.  To start off the meeting, they recognized Marsha Gajewski for her years with the board and gave her a reward for her help over the years.  The two new members and two prior board members were sworn in also.  Those include Shawn Cook, Kim Morris, Sharon Ogrzewalla and Randy Schwartzkopf.  Shawn Cook was nominated and re-elected as the president of the board.  Sharon Orgrzewalla got nominated and re-elected as the secretary.  John Hallock got elected to be the vice president of the board.  Tammy Roskowski got appointed as the district treasurer.  The board elected to set dates and times for their meeting, which will be on the 3rd Monday of the month.   They went into a closed session to discuss different items.  One of which was the employment of a new athletic director.  The board voted on a unanimous vote to give that position to Alicia Heggemeier.  She will now take over the duties that were left after the resignation of former AD Wayne Harre.  Cara Linkey was reassigned as an Assistant Athletic Director and Athletic Secretary instead of just an Athletic Secretary.  The fall and winter coaching positions for 2017 and 2018 were approved.  In football, Tim Kuhn was approved as head coach, but he has resigned with the school earlier today.  He will head to Brentwood, MO and be the high school’s head coach and also be a PE teacher.  Assistants Jason Alli and Chad Malawy were also approved.  Volunteers for football will be Dan Wolf and Mike Borowiak.  In volleyball, head coach Josh Konkel was renewed with his assistant Nick Ramsey.  Boy’s golf, head coach Jason Guest with volunteer assistants Erik Rolf and Patrick Weathers.  Doug Kell will remain head coach of the girl’s golf team with assistant Don Hawkins.  Jean Orr will head coach the cross country team with volunteer assistants Wendy Bergmann and Jenny Olson.  Cheerleading will have Roxzen Pelcynski as their head coach.  Drill team has Carly Middleton as head coach and Alyssa Lohmann as an assistant.  In Girls’ basketball, Doug Althoff will remain as head coach with JV assistant Gary Mueller.  Boys’ basketball has a vacant head coaching position at this time with Jason Guest as JV coach and Patrick Weathers as the sophomore coach.  The board concluded after having an hour meeting and will meet in 3 weeks on May 22nd for their monthly meeting.
