On Wednesday April 26th, a pedestrian was struck in the Kroger parking lot.  Kenneth Brehm of Ashley was attempting to back out of the Kroger store out of a parking space on Wednesday morning at 941.  He checked his mirrors before backing up and saw nobody, so continued to go until he looked at his drivers-side mirror and saw somebody walking.  The vehicle didn’t stop in time and the pedestrian was struck.  He was identified as Marvin Haake of Hoyleton.  Haake was checked by EMS staff, but signed a refusal for treatment and appeared to be okay.  A crash occurred Thursday afternoon inside of Nashville.  Nashville Police responded to the Driver’s Service Facility parking lot on 480 North Kaskaskia Street for a minor crash.  Centralia resident Veronica Curry was heading east in the lot when Beaucoup resident Gary Reynolds was attempting to back-out of a spot.  Reynolds didn’t see Curry and backed into the rear bumper of Curry’s vehicle.  Disorderly Conduct charges were issued after a dispute of two workers.  On Friday April 28th, just after 215, police responded to the Republic of Tea on Mockingbird Road after two cleaning company workers were fighting.  25-year-old Patrick Alan Parmelee of Mt. Vernon was removed from the property after the incident.  One arrested for having an outstanding Washington County Warrant on Friday night.  At 630, 23-year-old Brianna Jane Karch of Nashville was booked for failure to appear in court.  She was taken to the Washington County Jail.  A “hit and run” case occurred at the very early hours of Saturday morning.   28-year-old Constantino Reyes of Nashville hit a parked Washington County squad car and left the scene.  Freeburg Police located Constantino and his vehicle.  He was arrested and taken to the Washington County jail.  There were 4 citations issued for his arrest.  Those included driving with a suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report and give information after striking a vehicle that was unattended and operating a vehicle that was uninsured.  A single-vehicle accident occurred just after 830 in the morning on Saturday.  Thomas Ogrzewalla of Nashville struck the entrance to the Masonic Cemetery on East Masonic Drive.  Another “hit and run” case happened in Nashville, this time at the Bonnie Café.  The newly opened business on 824 North Mill Street saw Terry Kurwicki of Nashville have her vehicle struck by an unknown white car in the Bonnie Café parking lot.  A report was taken on the accident and Police are looking for this unknown white vehicle.
