A 2-vehicle crash results in a juvenile suffering major injuries and airlifted from the scene. On Thursday, the juvenile and his 2008 Chevy car were traveling southbound on Route 4, near Pyatt Cutler Road in Perry County, when his vehicle slightly started drifting into the northbound lane. Heading north was a Mack Truck Tractor with a semi-trailer connected driven by Chester resident, 67-year-old Max Buretta. The vehicles partially touched and hit head-on. Both drivers lost control of their vehicles and went into opposite ditches along Route 4. With the accident near Pyatt Cutler Road in Perry County, both sides had to be closed off for nearly 5 hours while an investigation was conducted. The juvenile suffered serious injuries in the crash and had to be airlifted to a St. Louis area hospital, while Buretta suffered no injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed off and sustained major damage.
