Four Southern Illinois residents are charged with methamphetamine offenses by the United State Attorney for the Southern Illinois District. 47-year-old Starlet Howie of Cutler, 29-year-old Mandy Hagen of Lenzburg, 31-year-old Jeremy Copple of St. Libory and 26-year-old Daniel Dortch of Chester, were all charged with one-count of conspiracy of distribution of over 50-grams of methamphetamine. The timeframe of the crime being committed is between 2015 and April of 2017 inside of Perry, Randolph, Monroe and St. Clair Counties. On May 8th, Howie and Hagen made their appearances in court and were ordered to be held without bond until today for a detention hearing. Copple and Dortch are scheduled to make their 1st appearance on these charges today as well. The charges against these 4 carries a maximum of 5 to 40 years in jail with 4-years of supervised release and up to a 5-million-dollar fine. The investigation is being investigated by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Perry County Sheriff’s Department and Monroe County Sheriff’s officers.
