Officials with the DuQuoin and Illinois State Fairs, are still searching for an opening act and are expanding a statewide competition to find a singer for it.  Starting on June 10^th, there will be karaoke competitions at local county fairs, including Decatur, Urbana and Morris.  Last year, they hosted 8 regional competitions.  To qualify and enter, you can check out the Illinois State website and register to have your spot.  You must be 18-years or older in order to sign up.  Registration starts today at noon.  The State Fair Manager states that it is a free competition that could potentially have a huge reward for possible soloists.  The Illinois State Fair is August 10^th and the Du Quoin State Fair is on August 25^th.
