A Centralia resident is sentenced to 4 and ½ years in prison after pleading guilty to one of 6 possible felony charges against him on Tuesday.  Jerry Ezeburiouh, age 31 of Centralia got booked to a Class 3 felony of aggravated battery and causing great bodily harm in exchange to the dropping of all other charges.  The other charges included class 4 felonies of domestic battery and unlawful restraint, misdemeanor criminal damage and misdemeanor aggravated assault.  Also, a Class 2 felony of aggravated battery was dropped as well.  Centralia police arrested Ezeburiouh a year ago in May after he chocked a woman in Centralia and threatened to kill her.  He reportedly chocked the victim 6 to 7 times throughout a few nights before being arrested.  He also punched her several times in the face, causing harm to her face, head and upper body.  She was afraid to contact police officers, because of the fear that she would be killed.  Her daughter was also inside of the home, so she also feared of leaving her daughter.  Ezeburiouh prevented the woman from getting help, since he would go with her while she would travel to the school her daughter attended.  The only alone time she had was at work, where she was able to contact police.  Ezeburiouh was located and taken into custody.  At the time of the arrest, he was on parole from a separate domestic battery case from Clay County.  He got credit earlier on Tuesday for 375 days served since his arrest.
